Valuation and Estate Management Service

The Council provides a valuation and estate management service for its land and business properties in the Epping Forest District. The service provided includes:

• Property Management

• Rent Reviews and Lease Renewals
• Asset Valuations
• Building Maintenance, Surveying and Improvement of Council properties
• Professional Property Advice

The Council owns various business properties for lease within the Epping Forest District. These include industrial properties at Oakwood Hill and Langston Road, Loughton; Brooker Road / Cartersfield Road, Waltham Abbey; North Weald Airfield and Industrial Estate. Commercial Properties include 136 shops dispersed throughout the District, 6 public houses, a golf course and several other varied dispersed interests.

Environmental Improvement Schemes

The Building Surveying / Maintenance section of the Estate Management Service are responsible for a shops improvement programme. Various schemes have been completed at a number of locations with improvements including block paved pedestrian areas, new footpaths, road and car park resurfacing, better external lighting, CCTV installations, security gates and railings, fencing, decoration, landscaping and planting.
