Dog Breeding Establishments

The Council has the power to award licences for breeding establishments under the Breeding of Dogs Acts 1973 and 1991.  This applies to any person who carries on a business of breeding dogs with a view to them being sold in the course of such business.

The Act prescribes standards of management and accommodation and provides for process of inspection.

The fee for a licence is £292.00 for a period of 12 months.
