Welcome to the Environmental Health area of the EFDC website. I hope you find it useful and informative. Our aim is to help maintain a safe, healthy environment for all those living or working in and visiting our district. Environmental Health provides a wide range of services and employs many highly qualified officers with expertise in diverse fields.

When you contact us I know you will receive a timely and efficient response to your enquiry.  When we visit you to carry out an inspection or to investigate a complaint that we have received, we will treat you courteously and professionally.

Each year we produce a service plan which outlines the services we provide, the standards to which we perform and the plans we have for the future. All the work we undertake will comply with our enforcement policy. The Council is a signatory to the Government’s Enforcement Concordat.
