
Sunday 1 July 2007 at 6am ... when virtually all enclosed public places and workplaces in the Epping Forest District became smokefree. The introduction of a smokefree environment will ensure a healthier environment, so everyone can socialise, relax, travel, shop and work, free from secondhand smoke.
A telephone line 0800 587 166 7 will operate from 1 July 2007 to enable members of the public to report possible breaches of the law.
This information will be passed to local councils to follow-up as appropriate.
