Energy efficiency improvements may be carried out free for owner-occupiers and private tenants through the Warm Front scheme which is run by an organisation called "eaga". The scheme is available to people who are on low incomes or who have disabilities. The work that can be carried out includes insulation, draught-proofing, carrying out boiler repairs and providing central heating for the first time.
Our Housing Assets Section carries out works including double-glazing, over-cladding and cavity wall insulation to improve the energy efficiency of our council properties.
