Gas Safety

If you are a tenant in privately owned or social housing, your landlord is legally obliged to ensure all gas appliances, pipework and flues are maintained in a safe condition.

All gas appliances must be safety checked annually by a qualified Gas Safe engineer. You should receive a copy of this certificate within 28 days of the check being carried out or at the beginning of your tenancy.
