Grants for adaptations to the homes of disabled owner-occupiers and private tenants, 'Disabled Facilities Grants', are governed by the ‘Housing Grants Construction and Regeneration Act 1996’. The Council has also produced its own leaflet, ‘Disabled Facilities Grant – a guide’, copies can be obtained from the Council’s Grants Team at the address below.

The Council has a Home Improvement Agency, Caring and Repairing in Epping Forest, or C.A.R.E. which can provide a full range of services to help older, disabled or low-income families to repair, maintain and adapt their homes.
