The 2011-12 HRA Business Plan has been produced by Epping Forest District Council. Business plans are important because they help us to prepare for the future, and they are a Government requirement. The Housing Revenue Account (HRA) records income and expenditure on our council homes. It is separate from the “General Fund” where all our other income and expenditure is recorded. Money cannot be passed between the two accounts.
The plan includes a Plain English Summary which may give all the information you want. After the main plan you will find some appendices including our "Repairs & Maintenence Business Plan", a “Glossary of Terms” to explain technical terms, and a “Key Contact List” tell you where to get more information.
In the Business Plan, we:
· give detail on the ways we manage and maintain the Council’s homes;
· set out our aims, objectives and priorities for the housing service;
· explain the current position and our performance as landlord in previous years;
· estimate the money needed over the next 30 years to manage and maintain our tenants’ homes; and
· compare how much money we need with the amount that will probably be available
