Springfields Improvements Project
There are five blocks of flats and maisonettes at Springfields in Waltham Abbey that were built nearly 40 years ago and are in need of some attention. We are already aware of a few problems, such as dampness, that could require repair work. We may also need to carry out some maintenance work to prevent future deterioration. A budget has been set aside for these works. When the essential maintenance is completed, we will look at other ways to improve and modernise your estate with the remaining budget. For example we would like the properties to be more energy efficient. We will also look at the possibility of some estate improvements such as better parking provision, lighting and security.
Residents on the estate and in the local area have been surveyed, and their views are being taken into account. Newsletters have been produced Springfields residents ans an exhibition of the Council's plans was held on Friday 14th October.
