Transfers for council tenants

Existing council and housing association tenants living in the District may need to move to another property (due to overcrowding, under-occupation, medical problems or other reasons). They can apply to join the council’s Housing Register. Applicants are ‘banded’ according to their circumstances.  We have a detailed Housing Allocations Scheme that explains all of the policies.
