The Blue Badge scheme operates throughout the UK providing a range of parking concessions for people with severe mobility problems who have difficulty using public transport.
To apply, renew or for information on using a blue badge visit:
A blue badge does not allow you to park anywhere and you must not park in the circumstances described in Section 10 of our explanatory booklet on the Scheme. If you fail to abide by these rules you may receive a parking ticket.
The badge should be displayed on the dashboard of your vehicle with the front (the side containing the expiry date, issuing authority and wheelchair symbol) clearly visible to enforcement officials.
The associated time clock only needs to be displayed when you are parking on yellow lines or in a blue badge parking bay that has a time limit. In both cases, you should set the time of arrival on the clock and display it next to your badge on the dashboard.
Failure to display your badge and time clock properly could result in a Penalty Charge Notice.
The badge should be displayed on the dashboard of your vehicle with the front (the side containing the expiry date, issuing authority and wheelchair symbol) clearly visible to enforcement officials.
It is not necessary to display the clock.
There are some disabled bays available please use these first, if they are full any other bay can be used. Parking is free and there is no time limit.
Epping Forest District Council operate a first time cancellation for not displaying the blue badge or clock correctly but do not cancel for a second or subsequent contraventions.
