Who is responsible for producing the Building Control Regulations?

Building Control Regulations now fall under the responsibility of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM), having formerly being the responsibility of the Department of the Environment (DETR). Their index for Building Regulations can be found online, by clicking here .

The ODPM publish an explanatory booklet about Building Regulations, it is available at their  website in a PDF version.

The Building Regulations Approved Documents are also available on the ODPM site, these provide the technical details for each of the areas that Building Regulations covers and can be viewed here
