Who is responsible for producing the Building Control Regulations?

Building Control Regulations now fall under the responsibility of the Department of Communities and Local Government (CLG). Their index for Building Regulations can be found online, by clicking here.

The CLG publish an explanatory booklet about Building Regulations, it is available on their  website here.

The Building Regulations Approved Documents are available to download from the Planning Portal website. These provide the technical details for each of the areas that Building Regulations covers and can be viewed here.

Another source of Information about Building Regulations is Local Authority Building Control (LABC), which is a member organisation representing Building Control departments of Local Authorities in England and Wales. Visit their website here.
