Call for Sites

Epping Forest District Council is undertaking preliminary work to identify potential sites that may be available for development as part of the new Local Plan for the area.

The Call for Sites is now closed - the submissions will feed into the future Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment.

The submissions made have been plotted onto a map, which was then split into 4 sections covering the district (as one map would be far too large to download). Please note that some areas of land have appeared in more than one submission, and several of the submission areas overlap with others.

Please use the links below to access the 4 maps and be aware that some of them are quite large and may take a while to download.

The green hatched areas are the areas of land that have featured in one or more submissions and the red lines show the parish boundaries.

Further Information

The Council is commencing work on its new Local Plan. The preparation of, and consultation on, the Local Plan in the next few years will be used to make spatial decisions about future broad locations for development.

The Local Plan should look at least 15 years beyond the date of its adoption which would mean the period up to approximately the mid 2020s.
