Refuse and recycling collection dates will change over the Christmas and New Year period. Please see below for a list of revised collection dates.
Christmas can be an incredibly wasteful time of year, with even more food and other waste sent to landfill. It is an ideal time to invest in a composting bin and make a free, organic fertiliser for the garden. Compostable materials include grass cuttings, dead flowers and leaves, vegetable and fruit peelings and egg shells. Tissues, vacuum cleaner contents, paper and cardboard packaging can all be composted.
Further details on home composting visit www.recyclenow.com/compost or telephone 0845 077 0757.
Real Christmas trees will be collected on the green waste collection day.
