Births, Deaths, Marriages & Civil Partnerships

For the registration of all Births, Deaths, Marriages and Civil Partnerships in the Epping Forest District is located at:

Monday to Friday 9.30am - 12.30pm
Monday, Thursday and Friday 2pm - 4.30pm
Tuesday and Wednesday in Loughton Library, 2pm - 4.30pm (by appointment only) 

Births

Every birth in England or Wales must be registered within 42 days of the birth at a Registry Office. A birth can be registered in any office regardless of where the child was born but the District where the birth took place must be entered.

Deaths

Every death in England or Wales must be registered within 5 days of the death at a Registry Office. A death can be registered in any office regardless of where it took place but the District where the birth took place must be entered.
