Joint Area Action Groups

Epping Forest Safer Communities Partnership Joint Area Action Groups (JAAGs) meet every 6 weeks.

Membership consists of representatives from local public service agencies including Local Authority Housing, Police, Local Authority Environmental Services, Fire Service and other invited bodies.

The Epping Forest District is divided into the below 3 area definitions:

1. East - Epping, Theydon Bois, North Weald, Roydon, Nazeing, Sheering and surrounding villages
2. South - Loughton, Debden, Buckhurst Hill, Chigwell, Limes Farm
3. West - Waltham Abbey, Upshire, High Beech

JAAG remit is set by the Co-ordinating Group and covers:
• Locality issues
• Items of concern stemming from Neighbourhood Action Panels (NAPs), Residents’ Associations, Town and Parish Council meetings, Town Centre Partnerships
• Issues identified by local Neighbourhood Specialist Officers (Police)Caveat: Joint Area Action Groups cannot deal with person specific cases
