We investigate and take action against statutory nuisance caused by noise. The majority of work is by its very nature reactive. The numbers of noise complaints continue to increase and the demand for this service is high.

Out of Hours Service

A team of seven Environment and Neighbourhood Officers investigate all noise complaints including domestic noise, barking dogs, burglar alarms, car alarms, commercial and industrial noise etc. In response to the increase in the number of noise complaints an out of hours noise service has been established. This service ensures that noise complaints can be swiftly investigated and formal action taken where appropriate.
