CHC21F Public Engagement Officer (No Borders Project)

Salary: £27,668 - £30,153 per annum plus £840 Inner Fringe Allowance per annum

Full-time - 36 hours per week. Fixed term Contract until 31 March 2018.

Funded by Arts Council England, No Borders is a ground breaking partnership project of Epping Forest District, Lowewood and Chelmsford City Museums and we are seeking to employ a highly motivated and experienced individual. Led by Epping Forest District Council but working across the three museum services the successful  candidate  will work with the established teams  to implement organisational transformation across the three museums.


RFP07 Finance Assistant (Accounts Payable)

Full time - 36 hours per week

£15,807 - £16,781 per annum (rising to £17,072 per annum after 5 years continuous service) plus £840 Inner Fringe Allowance per annum

CHC25 Museum Assistant (Front of House)

Permanent, part-time Saturday work (7.5 hours a week)

Salary: £8.47 per hour Location: Epping Forest District and Lowewood Museums

Epping Forest District Council’s Museums, Heritage & Culture (MHC) department are seeking a Saturday Museum Assistant to support its Front of House Team. The post holder will work across the service’s two museums, Epping Forest District Museum in Waltham Abbey and Lowewood Museum in Hoddesdon.


NFP02M Principal Planning Officer (Policy)

Salary £14,514 pro rata, per annum (rising to £15,238 pro rata, per annum after 5 years continuous service) plus £832 Inner Fringe Allowance pro rata, per annum

Casual role over school holidays and potential hours during term time

The Council is looking to recruit new Community Activity Workers to support the delivery of its innovative, activities programme.

Candidates should have experience of working with children and young people from a variety of backgrounds, as well as be friendly, outgoing and have an enthusiastic attitude. A knowledge and understanding of the values and benefits of working in a community or sports setting would be desirable, along with the ability to work as part of a team.


CHW502 Communities Services Young Ambassador

Voluntary role for young people aged 14-17

6-10 week programme (hours can be flexible to fit around candidates’ commitments)

Epping Forest District Council is looking for a young person who is passionate about the Epping Forest district and would like to help contribute in improving their local community. 

Through the Young Ambassadors Programme candidates will be supported and mentored through a structured work programme that will help candidates develop key professional skills and gain an insight into the vital work delivered by Epping Forest District Council’s Community Services Team.
