The Ongar Millennium History Society began in 2000. It grew out of the Ongar Millennium History Project, which had been established in 1996 to celebrate the Millennium by publishing a book on Ongar and setting up a Millennium Walk around the town's historic High Street.
The Society continues to research the history of the town and holds a programme of interesting events and meetings. Events are published in a quarterly newsletter. For details please contact Jenny Main (see above), or download the event programme here.
