Chinese Calligraphy
At: Epping Forest District Museum

Come along to Epping Forest District Museum and learn the ancient art of Chinese Calligraphy. Hosted by artist Sammi Fang, this fascinating workshop will provide an introduction to Chinese writing through the traditional method of brush and ink.

This workshop is FREE of charge and suitable for all ages.

Tea Tasting at Epping Forest District Museum

On Saturday 20th August, visitors of Epping Forest District Museum were taken on a journey into the history of Chinese teas and mastered the art of making the perfect cuppa!

The workshop included tea tasting, blending tea recipes, creating individual tea bags, as well as designing and making mini decorative teapot greetings card.

Participants said...

'Very interesting to hear about the different varieties of tea and wonderful to be able to taste different teas'.

'I learned about how porcelain and bone china were made, that tea only grows on one type of plant and it is the processes they go through which make the different varieties'.
