This exhibition combines a general introduction to the history of the slave trade and the abolition movement with a set of 'local links' panels, showing how Essex people and places were involved.
Host venues can mix and match and are encouraged to add their own 'local links'. Template panels and design support is available on request (subject to availability). We will supply a list of related artefacts in Essex museums that might be available to loan.
The exhibition includes free-standing interactives and audio-visual resources.Click here to view 'James Albert Ukawsaw
Gronniosaw, an African Prince' online. The film stars actor Shango Baku, pictured on the right. (A Harvest Films production for Epping Forest District Museum)<
