China in the East is a touring exhibition showcasing the rich Chinese collections of eastern region museums. Exploring themes of Trade and Industry, Fashion, Festivity, Language and Writing and Cuisine, the exhibition highlights the impact of Chinese culture and heritage within the East of England.

With her broomstick, pointed hat and black cat, the witch is one of the most iconic and infamous characters from fairytale, folklore and fiction. Yet behind this image lies a true story of paranoia and persecution. Although England experienced several hundred witch-trials, only one was worthy of the name. This took place in East Anglia in 1645-7, at the height of the English Civil War. This touring exhibition explains how and why this terrible tragedy occurred.
