My Place

My Place Stapleford Abbotts

‘My Place’ was a primary schools arts video project in 2006 involving years four and five pupils from Stapleford Abbotts primary school, Moreton primary school and Lambourne primary school, supported by the Council’s Arts Service.

My Place Moreton

Pupils were given disposable cameras to take photographs of places in between home and school that were special to them in some way. This enabled the pupils to express something personal about their world as it exists and they experience it.

My Place Lambourne

A documentary video with voiceovers by the children was produced along with a large wall piece showing the photos with writing by the pupils describing the picture and its meaning, and a large map illustrating the locations of each photograph.
