General Information

Epping Forest Arts, the District Council's arts unit, is part of Leisure Services. We aim to enable all sections of the community to have access to a wide range of arts provision of high quality. We provide a year-round programme of activities. This programme consists of classes, workshops, performances and events. These include, for example, holiday and out-of-school projects for children and young people, involvement with community events, the creation of new work for specific locations in the district, workshops in a variety of art forms, performances and residencies by professional artists and companies, and arts for disabled people and the frail elderly.

We work in close collaboration with other organisations in the district such as schools, the Essex County Youth Service, Essex Libraries and the Epping Forest Primary Care Trust to deliver this programme.

We have seven staff (four full-time and three part-time employees) - three team members are practising artists who, for example, develop and create work with a wide range of groups and organisations from all over the district.

Epping Forest Arts offers surgeries and advice sessions for artists and (voluntary) arts organisations and operates a Small Grants Scheme for groups and individuals.
