Every three years the Council is required to undertake a range of surveys to measure satisfaction with its services. The surveys assess levels of overall satisfaction with the Council and issues such as waste management, leisure and cultural facilities, planning, housing / council tax benefit and housing services for our tenants. We also ask people who have complained about our services how satisfied they are with the way their complaints were handled. Customer consultation is very important and the Council takes careful account of feedback and complaints about its services, and tries to respond by making appropriate service improvements wherever possible.
The General survey focuses on key areas of the Council's corporate performance, and issues such as environment and waste, and cultural and recreational services. The survey consists of a postal questionnaire sent to randomly selected households in the District.
The Planning, Benefits and Tenants Surveys are conducted amongst users of these services.
The Council would like to thank everbody that takes part in the surveys, the results of which are used to inform its future plans.
