The Council has recently published its new four year Council Plan, which identifies the key aims that the Authority intends to concentrate upon from 2006 to 2010.
The Council Plan does not cover everything that the Council does or all the services that it provides, but seeks to focus on those issues that matter most to people, national priorities set by the Government and local challenges arising form the social, economic and environmental context of the Epping Forest District.
The Council Plan also recognises the aspirations of the Community Strategy for the District, that was published during 2004 by the Epping Forest Local Strategic Partnership, which addresses the key challenges for future years, including significant housing growth and its potential impact on the environment, and issues such as local transport provision.
