In a radical departure from the traditional format, Epping Forest District Council published its first online e-Annual Report for 2005/6 last year. The new format embraced a range of separate publications brought together within the umbrella of a special section on the Council Website.
With some modifications we continue to use the new format for 2006/2007.
The e-Annual Report for 2006/2007 provides a detailed record of the work of the Council. Each section is based on one of the key arms of the Authority - the Cabinet, Overview and Scrutiny, The Standards Committee and the Financial Position as outlined in the Budget and Annual Statement of Accounts. There is no Remuneration Panel Report for 2006/2007 but we have added the District Development Control Report, produced for the first time this year in a new format.
Presented online - these reports can provide fine detail for anyone who wishes to scrutinise the Council in depth. However, for anyone looking for an overview with less detail as an accessible alternative, each report is preceded by a summary.
The e-Annual Report is scrutinised by the Audit Commission. The Commission monitors Local Government. It encourages value for money and good practice. Both the Audit Commission and Epping Forest District Council want to know what you think of the Annual Report. When you have explored the Report please click the comments button here or on other pages to tell us what you think.
