Seated Exercise Classes Celebrate Christmas Together

David Hogg Epping Forest District Council’s Active For Life Development Officer recently played Santa at one of his exercise classes.

David’s seated exercise class includes mobility, stretches, cardiovascular, strength and eye hand co-ordination exercises all based in a chair. At the end of every class there are 15 minutes of relaxation, which makes the class suitable for anyone over the age of 60.

Each year David Hogg tries to make Christmas a little more special for those attending his classes, he’s even been known to dress up as Father Christmas while taking all his classes on the same day! This year David arranged a Christmas party for all eight classes in a local pub and hired a singer for entertainment and organised some games and a raffle. Local businesses in Epping High Street were also in the Christmas spirit by donating some spectacular prizes.
