
Somalia Seaton from Loughton, is 23 years old and holds a passionate interest in the power of the theatre in all its forms and has emerged as one of the most promising directors of her generation. Somalia received an Arts Leisure Bursary to support her production of ‘I am Green’ at the National Student Drama Festival which is to be held at Scarborough later this year. Somalia received a Leisure Bursary of £750.
Leisure Bursaries were also awarded to 18 year-old Nicola Miles from Waltham Abbey for the purchase of specialist graphic design equipment and to 15 year-old Jim Lewis from Buckhurst Hill, a student at Roding Valley High School who has his sights set on a cycling medal at the London Olympics in 2012, both were unable to attend the awards.
