Bumper crowds and Daleks turned up to the Wings and Wheels Model Spectacular held 2008 at North Weald Airfield on 28 and 29 June 2008. The Airfield was host to one of the UK’s largest and longest running radio controlled model shows with many enthusiasts staying for the whole weekend.

Visitors were entertained by spectacular flying displays over the main runway which was closed to full size aircraft for the event. There were opportunities to “have a go” with radio controlled boats on the specially constructed boat pool and radio controlled cars.
Everything for the modelling enthusiast was available from trade stands and there was an opportunity to buy and sell second hand models at the bring and buy marquee.
Further entertainment was provided by the large model tanks and full size Daleks that trundled through the crowds.
