Lee Valley Park Farms in Waltham Abbey will be celebrating the merry month of May in traditional style at a May Fete on Sunday 25 May 2008 with something for everyone in the family to enjoy.
Although as yet unrecognised as Olympic sports nothing can beat the excitement of cheering on the favourite in pig or ferret races. Morris dancers will be jingling their way through centuries old dances celebrating the season and all the family can try their skill at winning a lovely bunch of coconuts at the coconut shy.

Dedicated shoppers will find the Craft stalls irresistible and local produce including honey and eggs will be on sale.
James Broomfield, Lee Valley Park Farms Manager said: "May is the month when people can feel that winter is well and truly gone and look forward to summer. We hope that visitors will celebrate the season with us, enjoy the traditional entertainments on offer and come back throughout the year to enjoy the farm."
The fete runs from 1:30pm to 5pm. Tickets are £6.50 per adult, £5 per child and £5 for concessions.
