Wrapped and Ready to Go

Wrapped and Ready to Go advice leafletPublished on 10 December 2008

Epping Forest Safer Communities Partnership is asking residents to take a little more care this Christmas and think about security.

The Partnership is providing basic security advice to residents to help make Christmas memorable for the right reasons. Advice leaflets are at Epping Forest District Council information desks situated around the district. They are also providing contact details for residents wishing to start a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme.

Community Wellbeing Portfolio Holder Councillor Syd Stavrou said: “Christmas is a time that provides rich pickings for the opportunist thief. We are asking the public to take some basic security measures to ensure they have a lovely time and criminals don’t profit at their expense.”

Caroline Wiggins, Safer Communities Manager said: “We have performed very well this year in reducing overall crime across Epping Forest District but now is not the time to become complacent. We want to ensure we take every opportunity to build on the success we have achieved with our partners.”
