This summer as part of the National Year of Reading you are invited to take part in online competitions and browse the Internet for book forums and other reading related information.
Take part in the Telling Tales Competition where anyone over the age of 18 can upload themselves telling their favourite story. The regional winners and overall winner will stand in line to receive exciting prizes if they are judged to be the most enthusiastic amateur storyteller.
If telling tales is not your thing, why not join in the Reading Gardens Competition? Individuals or communities could win a garden, recycled from The National Year of Reading show garden at this year's Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. The winner will be able to enjoyleisurely reading or hold reading-related events in this magical space.
Reading Escapes is a chance to focus on holiday reads. Escape into different worlds, include your favourite reads on postcards to friends and family, choose your desert island top ten reads and discuss them on the Year of Reading’s online forums.
