The Howzat Cricket Festival is returning to Loughton on Sunday 5 July 2009 with fun for all the family including a bouncy castle, jazz band, BBQ, stalls and entertainment as well as crazy golf and a penalty shoot-out. Entry is free with events taking place from 12 noon until the evening.
The event, coordinated by Loughton High Road Town Centre Partnership and Loughton Cricket Club is being held this Sunday 05 July at the Club’s ground in Traps Hill in Loughton. So with the Ashes almost upon us why not take a trip to Loughton Cricket Club and find out more about the sport.
As well as the cricket matches, Loughton Cricket Club is celebrating its 130th anniversary in 2009. The club is a great local asset to the town and is particularly special as it is one of very few cricket clubs in Essex that retains its town centre location.
Loughton High Road Town Centre Partnership, which is jointly responsible for the event, is supported by Epping Forest District Council. The Partnership is a not-for-profit organisation made up of representatives from the business community and other local groups which share the common goal of supporting and improving Loughton High Road.
