Create 2 Animate was one of many successful events for children organised by Epping Forest District Council during the summer of 2009, producing a video using imagination with animation.
Children from all across the district enjoyed art and crafts, outdoor challenges, sports, dance and music keeping them occupied during the school holidays. Play schemes and Play in the Park sessions were organised by the Council's Community Development team, with Epping Forest Arts organising an exciting summer of arts activities.
This was a fantastic one-day workshop where children learned how to animate using their own bodies, plasticine, photography, video and drawing. The 8 to 12 year olds used different types of animation and were shown the basic methods by members of Youth Arts and Animation (Y.A.A).
The company specialise in working with children to make exciting projects and have produced paintings, drawings, digital art work and live action art videos, helping to spark imagination, inspire high levels of creativity and raise self esteem. Working in 2D hand drawn, Flash and Stop Motion animation, the Y.A.A works with children to develop ideas and stories that can be made into short films. They will be back for a two-day workshop during the Summer of 2010.
