Snow Disruption to Recycling Services

Recent snow and icy conditions have caused disruption to refuse and recycling collection services today. There have been delays in collection because some of the dustcarts have not been able to access some roads due to the severe weather.

The Council is aware of the roads that have been missed and will endeavour to resume collection as soon as it is safe to do so. Please leave all waste and recycling containers and sacks in the normal place of collection, they will be collected as soon as possible.

Due to the extraordinary circumstances side waste (additional waste placed next to your container) will be collected during this bad weather period. If you would like any further information please contact 01992 564608.

The heavy snow and ice caused major disruption to travellers on roads around the district with many only passable with care. Drivers are being urged to monitor conditions as more snow is predicted.
