Epping Forest District Council is pleased to announce the launch of this year’s Summer Activities 2009 brochure on Monday 8 June 2009. Packed full of exciting activities for children and young people, it includes details of a wide selection of summer sports, youth games, family entertainment, playschemes, arts activities and many more activities taking place over the summer holidays.

The successful and popular ‘Play in the Park’, an activity all about children and young people playing games and having fun outdoors, will be taking place at various park venues across the district. Also on offer are Olympic-themed events such as cycling, archery and canoeing for young people and Olympic Pandemonium, an event for all the family with arts and crafts, fun sports races and much more.
The Epping Forest District Museum in Waltham Abbey is offering a range of drop in activities throughout the summer. On Saturday 1 August 2009 a ‘Family Fun Day’ full of activities and entertainment is being held.
The activities are all organised and provided through the Council’s Community Services Department, which provides activities throughout the summer holidays for children and young people of all abilities and are delivered by qualified, experienced and First Aid trained staff.
