Good Citizen Dog Scheme

Published on 3 March 2010

The Animal Welfare Service at Epping Forest District Council is pleased to announce a Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme (GCDS) Test Day on 25 April 2010. If you've recently become a puppy owner or have a dog that has a mind of its own then the scheme could be the perfect opportunity for both you and your dog.

The Good Citizen Dog Scheme is the largest dog training programme in the UK. Its aim is to promote responsible dog ownership and in turn, enhance our relationship with our pets and to make the community aware of the benefits associated with dog ownership.

Owners will have the opportunity to take either Gold, Silver or Bronze awards but those wishing to do Gold or Silver will need to register before 19 April 2010. The day is being held at Thornwood Village Hall in Thornwood Common.
