Ian Willett, Returning Officer for the Epping Forest District, said: "You will have received you polling cards which will tell you where you should vote. The polling stations are now open much longer, from 7am right up to 10pm. With election fever all over the papers and TV I am hoping for a high turnout from the Epping Forest residents, there is simply no excuse for you not to vote."

Mr Willett continued: "The Electoral Commission have produced an excellent short animated feature showing voters what they can expect. It was made for the 2008 elections so please ignore the date of 1 May, elections are definitely happening on Thursday 6 May 2010. If you are unsure please contact our Elections Team by telephone on 01992 564411 or ask the elections staff on the day who will be happy to help."
