On Sunday 7th October 2012 starting at 8am and ending at 11pm (or later) there will be the longest Zumba party in the World. Everyone Active are hosting this amazing event at Epping Sports Centre with all profits going to Cancer Research UK.
The current World Record for this event is 13 hours and is held by a group in Norwich but Epping are planning to smash the record by dancing for 15 hours or longer if need be. Each individual attending the event is required to dance for a minimum of one hour but there must always be 20 or more people on the dance floor continuously for more than 13 hours to break the record.
You can dance for one hour or five hours or more, the amount of time you spend at the event is up to you. The cost is £5, for however long you stay if you book before 31st August 2012, after that the ticket price is £10. Come on down and join in the fun! You do not have to have done Zumba before although it helps to know a few of the steps.
You need to register for the event by visiting http://www.bodyshakerswrb.weebly.com or calling 07512 156591 (ask for Christine) you will then be told how to pay on the Just Giving website for Cancer Research and how to register the times you wish to book to dance on the day. There will also be stalls at the event and a bouncy castle is proposed to keep children occupied. If you are very fit and healthy why not join the Elite Squad and dance for more than 5 hours and possibly break an individual world record yourself as well? We look forward to seeing you to support this worthy cause and to have FUN!!!
