This Saturday 18 August between 11am and 4pm come along and enjoy our hugely popular Family Fun Day at the Epping Forest District Museum. During the day, at 11.30am, 1pm and 3pm you can enjoy a ‘George and the Dragon’ puppet show. The dragon is causing mayhem and must be defeated. After some failed attempts we send for St. George to save the day.

In the museum garden you can make willow crowns with our selection of beautiful herbs and we will bring the seaside to Waltham Abbey for you to enjoy building sandcastles and shrimping in the sun.

There is no need to book and entry is free of charge. Just drop in anytime during the advertised times.

For information on where to find us, including a map showing where to come and where you can park, visit the Family Fun Day event page

And while you are here, why not  take the time to have a look around and find out lots of interesting facts about the history of your local area. We have many wonderful and historical objects on display at the museum including ancient archaeological finds from the area.
