Youth Council Blog: Refurbished Youth Club amazes youth councillors

Youth Councillors Tash and Josh from Waltham Abbey met with Elaine Fletcher, a trustee for the New Images Youth Centre at WAY 2000, 154 Brooker Road, Waltham Abbey, to learn about their recent refurbishment and to talk about what young people enjoy doing in their spare time.

Tash and Josh thought the youth centre was amazing. There are plans for a youth café, there is an internet suite with free Wi-Fi, they are in the process of setting up a library, they have a large arts and crafts room, a chill out room, a luxurious  TV room and a fun games room.

If you are aged 13 to 19 years old pop along to see the changes and bring a friend, they are open from 7:15 to 9:45pm every night.

Josh said: “Admission is £1.50 but its worth every penny! It really looks great and there is so much to do there”.
