North Essex Parking Partnership will take responsibility for on and off-street parking services in the Epping Forest District from 1 October 2012. All parking permits, season tickets, Penalty Charge Notices (PCN) and other applications will be dealt with by the Partnership.

Colchester Borough Council is the lead authority for the Partnership. It enforces on and off-street parking in Uttlesford, Braintree, Epping Forest, Harlow and Colchester plus on-street parking in Tendring.
Responsibility for maintenance and improvement of the car parks across the district will remain with Epping Forest District Council as will the General Highways Fund functions (street furniture repair and maintenance).
