Time has almost run out for responding to the annual canvass of electors. A final reminder form is being sent to each of the 2,750 properties that have not responded to any of the 3 forms previously sent to them.
Canvassers will be door-knocking across the district from 14 September until 30 September 2012 and so if you have not returned a form, you might receive a visit.
This form, which is in an envelope marked ‘Urgent Final Reminder’, must be dealt with on receipt.
Electoral Registration Officer Ian Willett said: “It is imperative that anyone receiving this final form should respond immediately. Even if there are no changes to the details on the form, you still have to confirm the details. This is easily done by using the new freephone, internet or text response options. It shouldn’t take long and so please don’t delay, do it straight away.”
“If there are changes to be made, please return the form to the Electoral Services Team at the Civic Offices. If you ignore this final reminder, you might find your name is deleted from the register when it is published next month. This means you won’t be able to vote and you might have problems in obtaining credit.”
