Parking Partnership takes on services in Epping Forest

No return 3 hours signEpping Forest residents are reminded that on and off-street parking services across the district are provided by the North Essex Parking Partnership (NEPP) from 1 October 2012.

The move will enable the efficient and consistent service provided across existing member districts to also be implemented for customers in Epping Forest.  Residents will deal direct with the NEPP for all parking permit, season tickets, Penalty Charge Notices (PCN) and other applications.

The Partnership will enforce parking and waiting restrictions in Epping Forest seven days a week, including bank holidays.

PCN appeals will continue to need to be made in writing online or by post.  Payments can be made online or via an automated phone line on 01206 507275.

Applications and payment for parking permits and season tickets should be made direct to the Partnership.

All processing and correspondence will be carried out centrally by the Partnership’s lead authority, Colchester Borough Council.

Responsibility for maintenance and improvement of the car parks and street furniture across the district will remain with Epping Forest District Council.

Chairman of the Joint Committee for the North Essex Parking Partnership, Councillor Susan Barker, said: “I am pleased that Epping Forest residents will now benefit from the same efficient and consistent parking service already delivered through the Partnership across the other member districts.”

Epping Forest District Council’s Safer, Greener and Highways Portfolio Holder Councillor Gary Waller, said: “We welcome the start of on and off street parking service provision across the district by the NEPP.  We will continue to support our customers during the changes along with continuing to invest in improving our car parks.”
