The 12 students were taking part in Epping Forest District Council’s volunteering initiative to introduce school students to skills outside the classroom. They took an active role in designing and planning the museum’s planting beds as well as weeding and pruning.

This is the first time the museum has hosted a volunteering project in the garden thanks to the partnership between Broxbourne Borough Council and Epping Forest District Council.
