Apology to residents

Councillor Will Breare-Hall, Environment Portfolio Holder said: ‘The service delivered by Biffa since the introduction of the new 4-day-week service has fallen far short of what we and our residents expect. I want to apologise again to residents for the inconvenience and disruption they have experienced.’

‘As the relevant Portfolio Holder I naturally accept responsibility for the failings in our service. My priority now is to work with staff at the council and Biffa to ensure these problems are rectified as a matter of urgency, so that residents can enjoy the full benefit of our new contract.’
