Multi Sports Days (Sports)

Tuesday 30th May
Loughton Cricket Club, The Uplands, IG10 1NQ

Thursday 1st June
Upper Clapton Rugby Club, Upland Road, Thornwood, Epping, Essex, CM16 6NL

For young people ages 5-14. Cost £16 per day. Registration 8.45-9.15am, pick up 3.30-4pm.

Street Basketball (Sports)

Friday 2nd June
Basketball Courts, Roding Valley Recreation Ground, Roding Road, Loughton, IG10 3BS

Ages 7-14. Cost £3. Time 2-4pm

Streetball is a quick, less formal version of basketball aimed at showing off your skills.
Booking not essential, but advised. Please bring drink and snack and wear appropriate clothing.

Go Wild Team - Up-cycling Workshop (Community)

Wednesday 31st May
Communities Training Room, 25 Hemnall St, Epping, CM16 4LU 

Ages 6-11. Cost £4.50. Time 10am-12pm

Come along to our eco-friendly holiday activity and discover ingenious ways to reuse plastic bottles instead of trashing them.
Discover how to make a pencil case, plant pot with an animal twist or a flower plus lots more.

Play in the Forest

Friday 2nd June
High Beach (opposite the visitors centre), Loughton, IG10 2AE

No need to book, drop by at any time 10am-2pm
All ages. Cost £3

This session is all about playing games and having fun in the forest. A wide range of activities will be on offer including:

  • Bug hunting
  • Shelter building
  • Woodland arts & crafts

How to Draw (Culture)

Age 7+. Cost £8. 10.30am-12pm

Level 1 - 31st May

If you can draw a triangle you can draw a chicken! 
This artist led workshop takes you through the basics of drawing in a fun and creative way.
Practical exercises in looking, feeling, mark-making and developing your own style.

Level 2 - 2nd June 
Lowewood Museum, High Street, Hoddesdon, Herts, EN11 8BH

So you can draw a triangle and a chicken, what's next? 
If you've been to our ever popular Level 1 session and enjoy drawing, why not come along and develop your own style. 
Learn about different ways of drawing, using a variety of artistic materials to explore different subjects, including landscape,
portraiture and still life. But most important of all, have lots of fun!

Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend but need to book and take part too.

Community Services

A wide selection of activities and services for all ages, young and old, can be found within the district. These include Community, Health and Wellbeing opportunities (Forever Active, LifewalksSports and Physical Activities, Play in the Park/Forest, Inclusion Projects) and Culture Activities (Art, Music, Dance, Theatre).

School holiday activities can be booked online as well as many term time activities for children and adults. Please see the links on the right hand side for more information.

We are also running Dementia Friends sessions at local libraries to raise awareness of dementia. Everyone is welcome. Please see details below.
