Making a call to the Emergency Services

All 999 calls are recorded and can be traced.   You should never make a malicious or hoax 999 phone call, as malicious calls waste time and can cost lives.

If you do need to contact the: -

  • Fire Service;
  • Police;
  • Ambulance Service;
  • Coastguard;
  • Mountain Rescue;
  • Cave Rescue;

 

    • Dial 999
    • All calls are free 
    • You will be asked which service your require
    • Your call will be connected to that emergency service
    • Calmly state your location and the nature of your call

101 is the non-emergency phone number for the Police.  You can also contact Essex Police online www.essex.police.uk
