From the dazzling dresses of the Paris couture houses, to the ready-to-wear styles of Marks & Spencer, this exhibition explores both the everyday and extraordinary fashions of the 1950s. Showcasing glamorous collections from museums around the East of England, the exhibition examines how the fashions of the stars were created and then adapted to be worn by the everyday family.

Lowewood Museum tells the history of the borough of Broxbourne capturing the unique stories of those who have lived and worked here. Housed in a beautiful Georgian building dating from the 1750s you will find something to interest and inspire you here.
